The Mediterranean Route bike itinerary
Connecting the Pyrenees to the Alps, linking Spain and Italy across the roads of France: the French portion of the EuroVelo 8 itinerary, called the Mediterranean Route, offers all this and more.
Along its 528 miles (850 km) unfurls a kaleidoscope of fascinating and sometimes little-known landscapes.
The route alternates between seasides, lagoons, fishing ports, canals, Camargue salt flats, nature reserves, and vineyard-covered hills.
Take time to savor the magnificent landscapes that pass before your eyes and beneath your wheels. Ride with peace of mind as you enjoy this magical natural spectacle. Admire the panoramic views and follow bike paths through the very heart of nature.
The Mediterranean Route bike itinerary passes through six regional natural parks.
Experience heaven on earth in this unforgettable combination of adventure and awe.
The Pays de Grasse, the land of cycling, is yours to explore: see Le Tignet, Peymeinade, Grasse, Auribeau, and Pégomas as you follow an old railway line, ride alongside a canal, trace the banks of the Siagne River, or enter the cool shade of the Peygros forest.
