Since 1976, Cinquième Sens has been devoting its considerable savoir-faire to the creation of perfumes and offering training programs to acquire, perfect, and structure olfactory knowledge.
Cinquième Sens is a certified training center open to fragrance industry professionals and those who are simply passionate about perfume.

Our work is based on a recognized, professional and fun training method.
A method:
-Olfactory and visual combining words, colours and odours,
-Efficient: exercises and practical work,
-Fun and interactive: personal use of the Olfactorium® and active participation of trainees.

The olfactorium®
Miniature version of a perfume organ, it allows olfactory illustrations of raw materials and perfumes specific to each training session (24 or 48 vials).

The perfumer’s organ workshop
Introduction session to measure your olfactory abilities and acquire methods for memorizing odours.
Program:
-Smell test
-Olfaction and emotions
-Chinese portrait of an odour
-Description of the Perfumer-Creator’s organ
-Introduction to natural and synthetic raw materials
-Explanation of the olfactory pyramid

The fragrance creation workshop
A workshop that will take you to the enchanted universe of perfumes
Program:
-Explanation of perfume composition from raw materials to creation,
-Discovery of the vocabulary: top – middle – base notes,
-Presentation of the olfactory facets in a perfume,
-Composition of your creation using facets

Summer School: immersion in the perfumery’s universe:
-Courses provided in English,
-2 complementary sessions of five days each (from the 27th of June to the 1rst of July. And from the 4th to the 8th of July),
-Participants have the choice between either session A or session A + B,
-Visits of field of flowers, of the Musée International de la Parfumerie (International Perfume Museum) and of factories to discover the country of Grasse’s know-how.
